The artistic eye makes you look at your surroundings with sensitive eyes. A typical building or a corner in a park could tell you a lot about the place, the people, and their culture. I love to take photographs of places where I go and paint them later with the feeling that they left in my memory.
This watercolour painting is about my first view of Newcastle Upon Tyne, in the middle of Covid isolation in 2021. I saw this building every day for ten days, so I got a feeling for it.

These last three paintings were made with gouache on sketchbook paper. They are inspired by the parks of the United Kingdom I had the pleasure to visit in 2020-22.
