Nicole Álvarez is a Latin American illustrator and member of SCBWI.
She studied Illustration and later pursued an Educational degree in Visual Arts, driven by her desire to share the joy of making art with others. She imparted art lessons in a Secondary and SEND school for over ten years, now she is a full-time illustrator.

She is drawn to Kidlit illustration projects, picture books, and licencing. She aims her illustrations to bring peace, hope, and joy. She loves to draw animals, nature and illustrations about her Christian beliefs. She is a deep admirer of the work of Beatrix Potter, Shaun Tan, David Wiesner, and Sha'an d'Anthes (Furry Little Peach).
For her, creativity knows no bounds, whether crafting characters through felting, weaving amigurumis or traveling and sketching landscapes and food.
